A Little Bit About Me
Everybody has a story, and mine starts on a farm in Northeast Nebraska...
I was raised on my family's farm eight miles from a little town called Neligh (knee-leigh), Nebraska. From Kindergarten through sixth grade like my brothers, and our father, I attended a one room country school house about a mile from our home.
Think "Little House on the Prairie" and you'll have it about right. During first grade my teacher noticed my interest in drawing. She took the time to teach me a few techniques to make my characters look more like people and a love of drawing was born.
From that early point in elementary school through high school, art was my passion. Eventually that love of creating with lines, shadows, and colors using pencils and paints transformed and grew into a love for Graphic Design.

Over time I was promoted from Associate Art Director to Senior Art Director. My responsibilities grew to include the design of Broadcast Engineering World Edition and BE Radio, a sister publication that covered the radio broadcasting industry. The magazine closed in October 2013.
FREELANCE DESIGNER
On-going
Freelance Design for me has been a creative outlet. I enjoy the challenge of working on projects that may not be a normal part of my work as an in-house designer. Over the years clients have come to me for a variety of projects including logo designs, business cards, brochures, fliers, invitations, baby announcements and more.
